Clean Water
Twelve years ago, I buried a one-year-old named Andibo, who died from a waterborne illness that could have been prevented with $6 worth of medication. This tragedy inspired me to fight, giving new purpose to my MMA career in the UFC. Fight For The Forgotten and our committed donors, have since made a significant impact on the Batwa and their communities, drilling 83 wells, impacting over 52,000 people, providing and protecting 3,050 acres of land, building 35 new homes, and replanting 12,000 trees.
What Is:
In 2023, we handed over rights to 65 acres of land and two fresh water wells, transforming the lives of nearly 3,000 people. Previously, families spent over five hours daily collecting water, which then needed to be boiled. Clean water is our primary focus because it immediately improves lives by reducing the time spent on basic survival tasks.
What Is Coming:
We are committed to creating sustainable clean water sources that eliminate water-borne diseases, provide irrigation for family farms, and allow communities to thrive instead of merely surviving.
