About Us

Fight For The Forgotten.

Our Vision

Founded by former UFC and current Bellator MMA fighter Justin “The Big Pygmy” Wren, the organization, DBA Fight for the Forgotten, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Our mission is to defeat hate with love. Our community development initiatives have a special emphasis on the Pygmy people in Eastern Congo and Uganda. We work with the communities to provide land, water, housing, education, health care and skills development.

We Build WHOLE
Communities.

Fight for the Forgotten partners with marginalized and vulnerable communities—particularly the Batwa Pygmies in Uganda—to restore dignity and build sustainable futures. Our holistic approach to “WHOLE community development” acknowledges that a strong, healthy, and thriving community depends on many interconnected factors.

At the heart of our mission is the empowerment of the people through five core pillars.

DIGNITY

Fight for the Forgotten champions human dignity by helping communities regain their voice and value. For the Batwa, who were once evicted from their ancestral lands and marginalized, start with the essentials - securing land rights, building dignified houses, assuring access to clean water, and providing safe sanitation.

HEALTH

Good health is the foundation of a strong future. Fight for the Forgotten is strengthening communities by providing vital nursing services and constructing a health center in remote areas where the nearest medical facility is hours away.

EDUCATION

FFTF believes education is a gateway to transformation. We are building a school and supporting children to access quality education. Educational programs also extend to adults, offering literacy training and life skills.

LIVELIHOODS

Sustainable development is essential to long-term impact. Fight for the Forgotten empowers communities by supporting income-generating activities like farming, crafts, and entrepreneurship. Our vocational training programs—ranging from tailoring and hairdressing to welding and organic farming—equip individuals with the skills and opportunities they need to support their families and achieve self-reliance.

LONGEVITY

By addressing the root causes of poverty—lsuch as lack of clean water, education, and opportunity—Fight for the Forgotten supports long-term wellbeing. Our programs are designed not just for temporary relief but for generational impact, improving life expectancy and quality of life. We are in this long-term, walking alongside communities to ensure the changes made are lasting and community-led.

Together, these five pillars form a holistic approach to empowerment, driven by dignity, compassion, and partnership. Fight for the Forgotten doesn’t just serve communities—we walk with them, helping them reclaim their future.
