Bundibugyo Update - September 2025
Community Space & Health Center Construction
The construction of the Community Centre and Health Centre in Olangama is nearly complete! Architect Felix, CEO of LocalWorks and our construction partner, recently led a site inspection, and everything is progressing beautifully!
We can’t wait to open the doors this November, giving the community access to a space for connection and a health facility a few steps away from their homes. No more 3-hour walks to access medical care.
Kisoro Update - September 2025
Mgahinga and Gitebe Water Tanks Complete
The water tanks in both Mgahinga and Gitebe are now flowing with clean water. No more walking miles in search of clean water. The commissioning of the Mgahinga Water Tank was honored by the presence of the District Senior Health & Environment Officer and the Assistant District Water Officer.
To ensure sustainability, both communities have also received training from the Water User Committee on safe and responsible water use.
Garden Preparation and Manure Distribution
Bokshi manure was distributed to 28 households in the Gitebe Batwa community, alongside seeds for planting. Distribution was based on the size of each household’s prepared garden. To ensure success, community members were also given a practical demonstration on how to plant the seeds, held in the garden of Karwemera Bosco.
