Updates from the Field

Olangama Update - April 2025

This month, hope took shape—one beam at a time.

The roof is up on our new community space and health center, and with it, a vision years in the making is finally becoming real. From here, it’s a race to the finish line. We’re building more than walls—we’re building a place where mothers will give birth safely, where children will receive care they’ve never had access to, and where a community will finally have a place to gather, heal, and grow.

We’re on track to open our doors this September—and with them, a new chapter of dignity, health, and hope.

Dreams that once felt impossible are now within reach. Lives will be changed here. And you’re part of making it happen.

Kisoro Update - April 2025

Since launching our new program in Kisoro District this March, we’ve hit the ground running—and haven’t stopped.

This month, our technical coordinator, Olive, journeyed deep into three rural communities alongside our partner, Local Works. Their mission: to assess how we can transform rainwater harvesting systems into lifelines—turning every drop into a chance for health, growth, and survival.

But amidst the momentum, disaster struck. One family of eight lost everything when their home collapsed. And when crisis called, we answered. Together with the community, we rolled up our sleeves and rebuilt—not just a roof over their heads, but a foundation of hope.

And there’s more. This month, our agriculturalist, Onesmus, will begin training communities in sustainable farming practices—sharing skills, introducing organic fertiliser techniques, and helping families grow more, waste less, and nourish their futures.

Step by step, village by village, we are sowing resilience and building futures.

And this is just the beginning.
